Job description

We are seeking a Home Loan Processing Specialist to join our Farm Credit family! This position will provide quality customer service by obtaining necessary documentation for underwriting the loan file, ordering third party documentation, communicating directly with the customer and/or mortgage loan originator in a professional and effective manner to obtain necessary documentation, and provide proper disclosure as required by local, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:
HLD Loan Processing: Process mortgage loan applications including data entry, gathering customer information, credit verifications and document prep all within consumer compliance rules. Review files for completeness upon receipt and order credit reports, title, flood, and appraisals. Communicate with attorneys, insurance companies and investors to obtain efficient closings. Submit mortgage loan application file for underwriting approval. Ensure closing documents are keyed and in compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with mortgage loan originators and processors to ensure closed files are in compliance. Review funding documents to ensure accuracy prior to all loans being funded. Input all HLD loans after closing into the HLD database. Complete and mail approval and denial letters to applicants.

General Customer Support: Provide customer service to mortgage loan originators, customers, external vendors, and loan investors. Update the loan originators on the progress of the loan file in an efficient, accurate manner. Contact the loan originator or the borrower to obtain any missing documents. 

Requirements:
    Education and/or experience equivalent to an Associate's Degree 
    3-5 years of loan related administrative work or some customer service-related field 
    Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
    Self-motivated, with the ability and desire to learn and willingness to apply new procedures and concepts 
    Effective, basic, and efficient computer/technical skills and use of Microsoft Office programs 
    Ability to work independently and as a team member under minimal supervision
