Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures for acute care patients.

  • Ensure patient safety, proper sedation and contrast administration as needed.

  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles for all scans.

  • Meet daily/weekly productivity targets through efficient scheduling and imaging pipelines.

  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, HIPAA, and quality assurance programs.

  • Verify orders, prepare equipment, and maintain image quality in a fast-paced environment.

  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to support timely clinical decisions.

  • Engage in continuous learning to stay current with CT technologies and protocols.

  • Assist in scheduling, patient flow, and throughput planning to optimize department performance.

  • Manage patient communication to reduce anxiety and explain exam steps clearly.

  • Document imaging procedures, ensure accurate labeling, and file results promptly.

  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance for minimal downtime.


Experience/Qualifications

  • ARRT or equivalent CT technologist certification with valid AZ licensure.

  • Proficient CT imaging for acute care patients with contrast administration experience.

  • Adhere to ALARA, radiation safety, and HIPAA compliance in all scans.

  • Strong ability to meet daily throughput targets and optimize imaging pipelines.

  • Collaborate with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams for timely decisions.

  • Provide patient-centered communication; explain exam steps to reduce anxiety.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, labeling, and prompt result filing.

  • Troubleshoot CT equipment and coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime.
