The Opportunity:
The Document Digitization Specialist shall perform document conversion and imaging services in support of government records digitization initiatives. The contractor shall ensure all document digitization activities are completed accurately, securely, and within established production schedules while maintaining compliance with agency policies, quality standards, and records management requirements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Prepare documents for digitization by removing staples, paper clips, bindings, and other fasteners; repair damaged documents as necessary; and organize records for efficient scanning.
  • Operate high-speed document scanners, microfilm scanners, microfiche scanners, and other imaging equipment to convert physical records into electronic formats.
  • Digitize a variety of media, including paper documents, oversized records, photographs, microfilm, microfiche, and other multimedia materials.
  • Perform image quality control by verifying scanned images for completeness, readability, orientation, image clarity, resolution, and accuracy.
  • Re-scan documents as necessary to ensure all digital images meet established quality assurance standards.
  • Maintain accurate production logs and tracking records to document completed work and support chain-of-custody and audit requirements.
  • Ensure all digitized records are processed, stored, and transmitted in accordance with applicable federal information security, privacy, and records management regulations.
  • Meet established daily and weekly production quotas while maintaining required quality and accuracy standards.
  • Maintain an organized, secure work environment and protect sensitive or controlled information from unauthorized disclosure.
  • Maintain image quality and indexing accuracy in accordance with government-established quality assurance requirements.
  • Complete assigned digitization tasks within established production schedules and service-level expectations.
  • Comply with all agency policies regarding records handling, confidentiality, in Follow standard operating procedures and quality control processes to ensure complete and accurate electronic records.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of professional business experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience performing document imaging, records digitization, or electronic document management.
  • Working knowledge of document management systems, electronic records management, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to consistently produce accurate, high-quality work.
  • Ability to lift and move document boxes weighing up to 30 pounds and perform repetitive scanning activities.

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
