Job description

Job Summary:

Perform Document Control activities related to document management and compliance. Documents include physical and electronic customer drawings, inspection reports, company and division level policies, procedures, work instructions, training records, and external documents.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Examines drawings, work orders, and engineering change notices, to verify completeness and accuracy of part specific information.

• Master and distribute customer and internal prints.

• Maintain both physical and electronic filing systems for prints and related paperwork.

• Create First Article Inspection (FAI) reports.

• Confers with engineering personnel to resolve discrepancies.

• Coordinate the activities of Document Control, including editing, distributing, and auditing controlled documents.

• Review and proofread documents for consistency of format and system concerns.

• Manage document processes.

• Update and maintain training records associated with documents.

• Update and maintain EQMS for external documents received from customers and outside agencies.

• Assist Quality Systems Manager with documentation related to ISO Certification and Certified Standard Goals.

• Understand and execute applications within the EQMS.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist Quality Systems manager maintain gaging information and data.

• Update and maintain HazCom documents and electronic files.

• Update and maintain documents on EQMS.

• Assist with writing and/ or creating new documentation.

• Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
