Job description

IMG, and Ichor Company, has an opening for a Document Control Support role. This role is responsible for maintaining controlled documentation that supports aerospace and defense manufacturing operations while ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer, and internal quality management system requirements. This position supports engineering, quality, manufacturing, and operations by managing document revisions, records, and controlled documentation throughout the document lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of document control, quality documentation, engineering support, or related experience.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. 

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). 

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision while collaborating across departments. 

  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or other regulated manufacturing experience. 

  • Experience with CMMS, AS9100, ISO 9001, and Lean Manufacturing. 

    Preferred Technical Skills

  • Experience with ERP systems such as GSS, preferred, or Epicor, Oracle, SAP, or similar manufacturing software. 

  • Familiarity with Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Engineering Change Requests (ECR), and revision control processes. 

  • Knowledge of document retention and records management practices

Preferred Experience

  • 1-3 years of document control, quality documentation, engineering support, or related experience. 
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, semiconductor, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments. 

Working knowledge of: 

  • ISO9001/AS9100 Quality Management Systems 

  • Configuration Management principles 

  • Lean Manufacturing concepts 

  • ITAR-controlled environments (preferred)

Education

  • Vocational or technical training
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-3 years document control support or related work experience

Work Environment 

  • Manufacturing environment setting has some exposure to noise, dust, coolants, and temperature variations.
  • Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE). 

  • Work performed in accordance with AS9100, ISO9001:2015, NADCAP requirements (as appliable), and company quality standards 

 Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. 
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and operate machine controls. 

  • Ability to visually inspect parts and read precision measuring instruments.

The business site where this position is located is an ITAR-compliant operation. Due to ITAR regulations, Ichor Systems is only able to employ US Persons. For CA candidates: The pay range for this full-time position is $26.54 to 45.10/hr,  non-exempt

  • Maintain controlled documents in accordance with company document control procedures and quality management system requirements. 

  • Create, update, route, distribute, and archive-controlled documents using electronic document management systems. 

  • Maintain document logs, databases, and revision histories while ensuring document accuracy and traceability. 

  • Review documents for formatting, completeness, revision accuracy, and compliance with established procedures. 

  • Ensure manufacturing personnel have access to current revisions of work instructions, drawings, travelers, procedures, and specifications. 

  • Perform electronic and hard-copy document scanning, reproduction, retention, and archival activities. 

  • Support document retrieval for internal audits, customer audits, and regulatory inspections. 

  • Coordinate document approvals with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations. 

  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary and export-controlled information. 

  • Order supplies and support document reproduction equipment as needed.
