Quality Assurance Representative

South Bend, Indiana

Full-Time | Onsite | Manufacturing

$45k-$65k


A growing regulated manufacturing facility in the Mishawka/South Bend, IN area is seeking a Quality Assurance Representative to support production quality, documentation control, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with engineering and operations to ensure product conformity, maintain compliance standards, and strengthen overall quality performance within the plant.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily production quality activities on the manufacturing floor
  • Review and maintain inspection records, control plans, and quality documentation
  • Assist with internal audits and customer compliance requirements
  • Support root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Interpret blueprints and basic GD&T for product verification
  • Partner with operations to address nonconformance and process gaps
  • Assist with dimensional verification and inspection coordination, including exposure to CMM or similar tools
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives that drive quality and efficiency


Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or quality-related role
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings required
  • Exposure to structured quality systems and documentation practices
  • Comfort working cross-functionally with production teams
  • Experience within automotive, heavy equipment, aerospace, or other regulated manufacturing environments preferred
  • Familiarity with root cause methodologies such as 8D, PFMEA, control plans, and audit processes is a plus


Education

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience preferred
  • Practical shop-floor experience is valued as highly as formal education
