Key Responsibilities
Document Control
  • Manage the creation, revision, distribution, and archival of controlled documents, including engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and work instructions
  • Ensure compliance with internal document control procedures and industry standards
  • Maintain document control systems (e.g., PLM, ERP, or DMS platforms)
  • Coordinate document reviews, approvals, and change releases
  • Perform periodic audits to ensure documentation accuracy and completeness
Bill of Materials (BOM) Management
  • Create, update, and maintain multi-level BOMs for complex assemblies and products
  • Ensure BOM accuracy, including part numbers, descriptions, revisions, and quantities
  • Collaborate with engineering and supply chain teams to implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Validate BOM structures against drawings and manufacturing requirements
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) by establishing and verifying BOMs
Configuration & Change Management
  • Process and track Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
  • Ensure proper version control and traceability of product configurations
  • Communicate changes effectively to stakeholders across departments
  • Maintain change history and documentation for audit readiness
Cross-Functional Support
  • Work closely with engineering, production, procurement, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Support manufacturing by ensuring accurate and accessible documentation on the production floor
  • Assist in system improvements and process optimization initiatives

Qualifications
Education & Experience
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field
  • 2–5+ years of experience in document control, BOM management, or configuration management in a manufacturing environment (high-tech preferred)
Technical Skills
  • Experience with PLM, ERP, or document management systems (e.g., Agile, Windchill, SAP, Oracle)
  • Strong understanding of BOM structures, part numbering, and revision control
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
