Job description

Karman Space & Defense is a leader in the rapid design, development, and production of critical, next generation system solutions that align with the U.S. Department of War and its allies’ core mission priorities, and meet the accelerating demand for access to space. This role is part of our Space and Launch business, which has contributed to the nation’s space programs for decades by delivering complete solutions from concept to flight. We enable successful space operations with mission-critical technology supporting every step from first launch to final landing, including launch vehicle subsystems, propulsion systems, aerodynamic and interstage systems, and payload protection and deployment. Our high-performance solutions are engineered to operate in the most extreme environments and meet precise mission requirements.
In this role, you support accurate documentation and property control across the organization by maintaining company and customer documents, cataloguing and retrieving records, and ensuring proper tracking of customer and government-furnished property. You help keep documentation organized, accessible, and properly safeguarded so programs can operate efficiently and meet customer requirements.

Responsibilities
• Creates and maintains document tracking spreadsheets and organized filing systems.
• Retrieves stored documents and ensures electronic and hard copy files are accurate and easily accessible.
• Adheres to document retention schedules, including proper destruction of outdated materials.
• Scans, files, and stores documents for multiple departments.
• Reviews and completes customer property surveys and inventories, coordinating with customer property specialists as needed.
• Records receipt, labeling, and tagging of new property and maintains accurate tracking for government furnished property, including monthly physical inventories.
• Partners with the Quality Department to maintain calibration records for customer property.
• Releases property to authorized personnel and coordinates movement, retrieval, and closure of sales order files.
• Organizes archive and storage areas, keeping boxes and files clean and orderly.

Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or General Education Development (GED).
• Ability to read, write, and speak in English.
• Detail-oriented with strong organization and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of data organization and storage practices.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Physical Requirements
• Constant standing, walking, or sitting for at least 8 hours.
