ROLE DESCRIPTION:

Rocket Doctor's Provincial Medical Lead (Alberta) will be responsible for leading the growth and development of Alberta's medical practice on the platform. They will join the 20 or so other physicians who form Rocket Doctor's Clinical Leadership Team (CLT) to help guide Rocket Doctor's growth.

The Alberta Provincial Medical Lead will collaborate to assist new physicians, across all provinces, with a specific focus on their province (Alberta) to onboard and grow on the platform. They will additionally help to grow and optimize the clinical side of the company through strategic planning. The primary objective of the Alberta Medical Lead is to help develop Rocket Doctor's brand and product in Alberta;

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the Provider Success team in recruitment and retention of Alberta physicians;
• Investigating and responding to concerns and safety issues raised by patients, Patient Care Coordination (PCC) team, and/or MDs on the platform;
• Ensuring Rocket Doctor's product aligns with the goals and needs of practicing physicians from across Alberta;
• Liaison with Provincial health authorities & organizations in Alberta to ensure efficient practices for physicians;
• Maintaining regular communication with practicing physicians in the province, including (but not limited to) regular participation on relevant Slack channels, co-leading "All Docs on Deck" quarterly meetings and other community-building events;
• Other Roles (common to all MD Advisors):
  • Attending and actively participating in regularly scheduled MD Advisory meetings;
  • Assisting to onboard new physicians and familiarizing them with the Rocket Doctor platform;
  • Helping develop and continually improve our physician handbook;
  • Engaging with the physician advisory team and the product development team for improvement initiatives;
  • Troubleshooting and strategic guidance around emerging physician roadblocks and challenges;
  • Acting as a resource to physicians on the RD platform regarding billing and virtual care practices and protocols for both insured and non-insured patients;
  • Assist in the development of communications in support of physicians and RD staff;
  • Supporting the Patient Care Coordinators (PCC) team to ensure adequate clinical coverage for the platform;
  • Assisting in the coordination of regular meetings and events for Rocket Doctor physicians.

EXPECTATIONS:

• Be organized, positive and uplifting. As a representative of Rocket Doctor the Physician Lead is an exemplar of how we work on our platform, perform, and interact with patients and Rocket Doctor staff;
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism as established by the College of Physicians and Surgeons;
• Knowledge of our EMR, Rocket Doctor's extensions as well as privacy requirements in the Canada/USA (HIPAA, PHIPA, PIPEDA) would be a benefit;
• Maintain a professional and respectful relationship with all RD staff and patient correspondence;
• Maintain a record of all decisions made;
• Ability to work with confidential company information.

COMPENSATION:

• The position is estimated to be an average of 4 hours per week (negotiable) paid at $150 / hour. The dollar value of work will be paid via equity in the publicly traded parent company, which can be awarded to you personally or your corp, and deposited and traded within your investment / trading account.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Licensed to practise medicine in Alberta;
• Familiarity with the medical landscape in Alberta;
• The position requires native fluency in English; fluency in French is an advantage;
• Ability to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing environments;
• Experience in Business and/or Medical Administration is an advantage.

WORK / TRAVEL:

• Position is remote in Canada. Must be able to adequately perform the above duties with reasonable accommodation.
