Job description

Dentons US LLP is seeking a Litigation Docket Specialist to support its national docketing team. This is a remote role with flexibility to work from home, aligned to a Dentons office location. The role can be based in our Chicago, Dallas, St Louis, or Kansas City location(s). The ideal candidate will bring experience with Midwest/Central region courts, including electronic filing in local jurisdictions, and will report to the Manager, Litigation Docket.

Responsibilities

ย  Enter data into the firm's docketing and calendar system.
ย  Calculate rule-based litigation deadlines.
ย  Generate docket reports and queries as requested by attorneys, paralegals and legal ย administrative assistants.
ย  Monitor cases with the use of various online resources.
ย  Handle all inquiries from attorneys, paralegals and secretaries in a timely and efficient manner.
ย  Assist with service of court documents.
ย  Perform electronic court filings in Federal, State and Appellate Courts.
ย  Other duties as assigned to fully meet the requirements of the position.

Qualifications

ย  Bachelor's Degree preferred.
ย  Minimum 3 years docketing experience required.
ย  Knowledge of basic litigation docketing, calendaring and Civil Procedure.
ย  Experience utilizing docketing software such as Milana, eDockets, etc.
ย  Knowledge of various court websites, docket searching and document retrieval databases (PACER, File & ServeXpress, etc.).
ย  Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules and filing procedures.
ย  Proficient with Microsoft Office suite applications including Outlook, Excel and Word.
ย  Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment.
ย  Ability to work proactively (without significant guidance) to trouble shoot and problem solve.
ย  Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
ย  Available to work overtime as needed.

Salary:ย  $70k to $90k DOE and location.
