A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A DOCK WORKER

Load and unload merchandise from trucks and trailers using tow motor, hand pallet jack and dollies and following all safety and DOT standards. Must follow company policies and safety procedures to ensure store merchandise service.ย  Receive shipped merchandise and ensure that inventory is placed in the proper staging area. ย 

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A DOCK WORKER

ย ย ย ย  Ability to lift up to 50-100 pounds

ย ย ย ย  Ability to work in adverse weather conditions

ย ย ย ย  Handle donations in a safe and careful manner

ย ย ย ย  Basic mathematical and computer knowledge

ย ย ย ย  Ability to work independently while fostering a team atmosphere

ย ย ย ย  Carry out instructions to complete tasks

ย ย ย ย  Must possess a valid Driver's License

ย ย ย ย  Safely operate the trash compactor

ย ย ย ย  Maintain truck trailer and dock floor

ย ย ย ย  Keep work-station clean and neat

WORK SCHEDULE
