Yard & Dock Manager
ย 
The Marina at Highland Lake is looking for a Yard & Dock Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, hard-working professional who has excellent customer service skills, perform physical tasks and have a strong mechanical ability.
This role offers a wide variety of responsibilities and is ideal for a motivated, mechanically inclined individual who enjoys working both indoors and outdoors in a fast-paced marina environment. On-the-job training is available for the right candidate.
Schedule
This is a 9-10 month position from March through November.ย 
Hours are Tuesdays through Fridays and one weekend day.ย  Requires working summer holidays
Yard Operationsย 
ย 

  • Maintain a clean, organized marina and sales yardย 
  • Coordinate launching, hauling, and transporting boatsย 
  • Organize boat inventory and trailer storageย 
  • Coordinate seasonal dock installation and removalย 
  • Assist with facility maintenance and groundskeepingย 
  • Operate tractors, forklifts, and trailersย 
ย 
Dock & Rental Operations
ย 
  • Supervise dock attendantsย 
  • Oversee boat rental check-in/check-outย 
  • Ensure rental boats are cleaned, fueled, and readyย 
  • Monitor fuel dock operationsย 
  • Maintain docks and waterfront appearanceย 
  • Handle customer issues and ensure excellent serviceย 
ย 
Fleet Management
ย 
  • Schedule cleaning and maintenance of rental fleetย 
  • Monitor maintenance needsย 
  • Coordinate repairs with service departmentย 
  • Maintain safety equipmentย 
  • Ensure boats are ready each morning
  • Perform regular maintenace of marina trucks and equipment

Skills and Knowledge
