About this role:

Theperson in this rolewillbe responsible forsafely and effectivelymaintainingand servicingnumeroustypes of warehouse equipment and systems to include but not limited to commercial dock doors, dockequipmentand commercial entry doors.

Job Type and Schedule:Full time,M-F8-hourshiftwith overtime available

  • Compensation range: $23.00 - $30.00 / hour depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Read schematics, diagrams, blueprintsin order toperform diagnostic and repairs
  • Perform on-site repairs in the field as needed as well as overhead door and dock equipment maintenance if requested
  • Service, repair, install and perform maintenance requests on commercial dock doors, dock equipment, high speed rolling doors, and commercial entry doors
  • Design, fabricate and weld warehouse aftermarket product line
  • Perform maintenance and install EOD's, dock levelers, vehicle restraints, scissor lifts, dock seals and shelters, freight lifts and others asrequired
  • Adjust, lay-out, position, align and fit componentsrequiredat each job site
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
  • Additionalduties as assigned

Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalentrequired
  • Minimum of1year of commercial dock and overhead door experiencepreferred
  • Ability to safely and effectively drive a company vehicle
  • Proficient fitting and welding from shop blueprints
  • MIG and ARC welding experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Basic math skillsinvolving measurements and installations
  • Computer and tablet proficienttomaintaininventory and work orders
  • Customer Service and communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Ability to liftup-to50 lbs.Ability to continuously lift and bend, climb ladders up to 20' in height, work on knees for extended periods of time, and proficient operating power tools
  • Able to sit, stand, push, pull, stoop, bend, kneel crouch, reach, climb, or crawl on afrequentbasis
