Responsibilities
  • Read schematics, diagrams, blueprints in order to perform diagnostic and repairs
  • Perform on-site repairs in the field as needed as well as overhead door and dock equipment maintenance if requested
  • Service, repair, install and perform maintenance requests on commercial dock doors, dock equipment, high speed rolling doors, and commercial entry doors
  • Design, fabricate and weld warehouse aftermarket product line
  • Perform maintenance and install EOD's, dock levelers, vehicle restraints, scissor lifts, dock seals and shelters, freight lifts and others as required
  • Knowledge and understanding of warehouse racking systems is a PLUS
  • Basic mechanic skills are a must for job performance
  • Adjust, lay-out, position, align and fit components required at each job site

Requirements and KSAs
  • Commercial dock and overhead door experience preferred
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Proficient fitting and welding from shop blueprints
  • MIG and ARC welding experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical diagnostics and troubleshooting
  • Basic math skills involving measurements and installations
  • Computer and tablet proficient to maintain inventory and work orders
  • Customer Service skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Valid and Insurable driver's license and the ability to pass a drug screening
  • Ability to continuously lift and bend, climb ladders up to 20' in height, work on knees for extended periods of time, and proficient operating power tools
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
  • Able to sit, stand, push, pull, stoop, bend, kneel crouch, reach, climb, or crawl on a frequent basis
  • Ability to lift up-to 50 lbs.
  • Able to withstand exposure to hot, cold, wet, or other weather-related conditions
