Job Title: Dock Worker 1 (Night Shift)
Department: Donated Goods Program (DGP)
Reports to: Dock Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary:
Responsible for processing goods and emptying equipment for transportation flow according to GWH policy and ensuring the efficient and cost-effective operation and stewardship of the outlet store and donation center to maximize profitability for mission services funding.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate GWH's Core Values in all actions.

  • Ensure adherence to Guiding Principles and CARF standards.

  • Ensure alignment and consistency of all aspects of the outlet store operations.

  • Operate assigned equipment safely in accordance with organizational and safety policies and procedures.

  • Process donated goods efficiently and effectively based on GWH's needs and adapt to changes in commodities processing as assigned.

  • Bale merchandise, identify and demonstrate understanding of items that can be baled together or items that cannot be baled but should be processed separately.

  • Assist with quality control assurance.

  • Maintain accurate bale count with production equivalent to eight (8) to ten (10) bales per 8-hour shift, averaging over one (1) bale per hour.

  • Sort totes and process each tote with urgency when assigned.
