Job description

This position is located at the Gardena Commercial Drive Test Center in Gardena.
This is a section manager position for the Gardena Commercial Test Center. The incumbent will be responsible for: supervising, evaluating, and monitoring the performance of Motor Vehicle Representatives and Licensing-Registration Examiners; managing the office's daily operations; ensuring the safety and security of the building and grounds; managing contracts; readying the office for audits; performing personnel functions; managing the office's inventory, supplies, and equipment; requesting training; planning, organizing, and implementing programs/policies.

The position(s) being advertised may be subject to allocation approval by the Human Resources Branch. Fingerprint/Criminal Record Clearance is required before hire. The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full-time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.

The DMV is responsible for registering approximately 36 million vehicles in California, and serving 34 million driver license and identification card holders, collecting over $14 billion in annual revenue. The DMV also maintains and oversees many other functions.
