Overview: Team Kia Mazda Hyundai of El Cajon is searching for an experienced DMV Clerk to join our business office team! The DMV Clerk is responsible for processing all vehicle registration and title paperwork accurately and efficiently.

This position supports the accounting and sales departments by ensuring compliance with state and dealership policies. The ideal candidate for this position will have a superior work ethic, strong attention to detail, will be a coachable team player, and will have at least 1 years experience as a DMV Clerk.


Responsibilities:

  • Process vehicle registrations, titles, and tag work for new and used car deals
  • Submit all paperwork to the DMV in a timely manner
  • Verify accuracy of documents, including contracts, titles, and lien information
  • Maintain organized records of all transactions
  • Track and follow up on pending titles and registrations
  • Communicate with sales team, finance managers, and customers regarding documentation needs
  • Ensure compliance with all dealership policies and DMV requirements
  • Handle title corrections, payoffs, and trade-in documentation

Qualifications:

  • Previous automotive DMV/title clerk experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of DMV processes and regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in dealership management systems (DealerTrack, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar is a plus)
