The Merchandiser Area Coordinator position has been established to assist the Division Manager to ensure consistency of staffing and execution in a geographically diverse range of stores.
Job Duties:

  • In the absence of an assigned Live Goods Merchandiser in stores, it will be the

expectation of the MAC to physically cover the staffing needs of assigned stores at the direction of the DM

  • MAC will be responsible for assisting with the training and quality of a group of Live

Goods Merchandisers in their assigned stores at the direction of the DM

  • This position is primarily a field position with the expectation of approximately 95% of

time spent in field activities and 5% of time in administrative or office duties

  • MAC will be responsible for initial and ongoing training of team members in assigned

stores as well as assisting team members on a regular basis in the execution of daily duties and special projects as assigned by the DM This job description is not meant to be comprehensive, and other duties may be assigned as needed.


As a Merchandiser Area Coordinator, your workday will include:

  • Display a variety of outdoor plants
  • Maintain product displays
  • Water all plant materials
  • Develop a watering plan with the floral department manager for additional support as needed
  • Ensure proper signage is in place
  • Maintain a safe and clean display area
  • Remove and record expired plant material
  • Interacting with store personnel and customers
  • Develop a positive working relationship with store management and associates
  • Complete report for each store serviced
  • Document every visit using the Go Spot Check app


As a Merchandiser Area Coordinator, you will be required to:

  • Have a smart phone
  • Workoutdoorsin all elements
  • Have dependable transportation
  • Have a valid drivers license
  • Lift, push and carry up to 30 lbs repetitively
  • Assemble and tear down outdoor benching
  • Understand and execute planograms
  • Use workplace mobile apps
