Job Summary:
Motion is a company that develops information systems and is seeking a Software Engineer II. The role involves designing, developing, and installing software solutions while improving operations through systems analysis and recommending policy changes.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Manages trouble ticket resolution for multiple applications.
โ€ข Provides production support of applications in production by troubleshooting issues, proposing solutions, developing and testing fixes, and migrating solutions with limited supervision.
โ€ข Uses back-end programming languages, as well as front-end script languages to optimize performance, scalability, and security.
โ€ข Codes programming logic for new or existing solutions software or applications following design specifications put in place by senior software development staff and leadership.
โ€ข Works on assignments with defined parameters where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making choices, recommendations, or decisions.
โ€ข Handles installation, configuration, development, workflow design, monitoring, and/or upgrade of assigned software products.
โ€ข Monitors quality and performance of applications through testing and maintenance.Maintains up-to-date records of issues with existing code.
โ€ข Develops and unit tests application programs as specified in Technical Designs and obtains code reviews, while ensuring that all programming standards and policies are adhered to.
โ€ข Offers more experienced system recommendations for defined business needs.
โ€ข Obtains Technical Designs and Unit Test plan reviews from Senior Application Developers and may perform Tech Designs and Unit Test plan reviews of other developers.
โ€ข Presents work for review and sign off by peers and/or management in his workgroup.
โ€ข Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Eligible to work in the US without Visa Sponsorship.
โ€ข Typically requires a bachelorโ€™s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
โ€ข Three (3) to five (5) years of related experience; or equivalent combination.
โ€ข Consistently applies fundamental knowledge of application configuration, maintenance and support.
โ€ข Intermediate knowledge of client/server networks.
โ€ข Proven ability to effectively troubleshoot program errors.
โ€ข General understanding of how technology supports the business.
