Plumbing Sales Operations Manager  


POSITION PURPOSE: 

The Plumbing Sales Operations Manager is responsible for leading the overall performance and strategic direction of United Air Temp's Plumbing division. This role drives revenue growth while ensuring operational excellence, exceptional customer experiences, financial performance, and the development of a high-performing plumbing team. 

The primary focus of this position is building a best-in-class retail plumbing organization by creating a culture of sales excellence, coaching leaders and technicians, improving customer experience, and using data to drive performance. This role owns the overall success of the Plumbing business, including sales growth, profitability, operational results, leadership development, and execution of company initiatives. 

The ideal candidate is an experienced residential plumbing leader with a proven track record of growing retail sales, developing high-performing teams, and leading through accountability, coaching, and continuous improvement. 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Leadership & Development  

  • Lead and develop a high-performing Plumbing organization by establishing clear expectations, coaching leaders and employees, and fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.  
  • Partner with the General Manager and cross-functional leaders to execute strategic initiatives and support the long-term growth of the Plumbing business. 

Sales Leadership  

  • Own the retail sales strategy, driving revenue growth, profitability, average ticket, close rates, and customer retention.  
  • Coach leaders and technicians through ride-alongs, sales training, and performance reviews to build a consultative, customer-first sales culture.  
  • Leverage ServiceTitan data and business insights to identify opportunities and improve sales performance. 

Operational Excellence 

  • Establish consistent processes, quality standards, and a "Right the First Time" culture that delivers an exceptional customer experience.  
  • Build a culture of urgency, accountability, and operational excellence while ensuring work flows efficiently through ServiceTitan.  
  • Use operational and financial metrics to drive continuous improvements in productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, and profitability. 

Financial & Business Performance  

  • Own the financial performance of the Plumbing division, including revenue, gross margin, profitability, labor productivity, and budget performance.  
  • Analyze business trends and KPIs to develop strategies that improve operational and financial results.  
  • Support workforce planning, resource allocation, and initiatives that position the Plumbing division for long-term success. 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Operations, or a related field preferred. 
  • Progressive leadership experience within residential plumbing, HVAC, or the home services industry.  
  • Proven success leading retail sales organizations and delivering measurable revenue growth.  
  • Demonstrated experience developing leaders and coaching field employees to improve performance.  
  • Strong understanding of residential plumbing service, repair, replacement, and installation operations.  
  • Experience managing budgets, financial performance, and operational KPIs.  
  • Experience using ServiceTitan or similar field service management software preferred.

PAY STRUCTURE:

  • Compensation will be base $120k with a target 30% bonus goal (30k revenue goal, 6k membership goal) with no cap on the performance side.Â
