Job description

Direct Overview

We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Divisional Manager (Ontario) to lead our building products distribution sales and operations in Ontario (with facilities in London and Sudbury, Ontario). You will hold full P&L accountability and drive the strategic growth, profitability, and operational excellence of our regional business. This is an existing role.

Role Summary

  • Position: Divisional Manager – Ontario
  • Location: London, ON (In-office / Regional Travel)
  • Reporting To: Vice President, Sales and Operations
  • Core Focus: Full P&L ownership, sales growth, and operational efficiency

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Financial Leadership

  • Maximize profitability across all Ontario operations and sales channels.
  • Manage the complete P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditures.
  • Analyze market trends to identify new revenue streams and cost-saving efficiencies.

Sales & Market Growth

  • Drive regional sales strategies for traditional building materials (lumber, roofing, siding, insulation, etc.).
  • Cultivate high-level relationships with key customers and vendors.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team to expand market share and achieve aggressive revenue targets.

Operations & Supply Chain

  • Oversee inventory management, freight, and warehouse operations for optimal turn rates.
  • Enforce strict health and safety standards across all yards, warehouses, and transport activities.

Candidate Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Track record of managing a business unit, department or people.
  • Industry knowledge of traditional building materials (lumber, roofing, siding) an asset.
  • Experience successfully managing a P&L statement.

  • Strong commercial acumen with verified experience growing market share in Ontario.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities to motivate cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, Logistics).
