About the Role:

We are looking for a Sales Director to support the successful development and launch of new technology products for a key customer. The Sales Director will ensure all timing milestones are met, in coordination with Project Management.

Responsibilities Also Include:

Define on a worldwide basis the Sales Division strategy for the customer in charge and ensure deployment in Regions and Product Groups

  • Drive specific system/module product interests from the customer

  • Organize roadmaps exchange in order to define the Division vision for the customer Coordinate all the Regions/Product Groups strategies and activities related to the customer in charge

Business intelligence and information sharing

  • Identify decision making actors and rules on the customer side, gather and share all useful information with concerned Regions/Product Groups and functional networks (ex. R&D, Industrial, Quality, Project Management). Develop an intimate relationship with key decision makers in customers' purchasing, engineering and marketing organizations at senior level.

  • Be the customer's central contact for information concerning the organization, key people, new vehicle launches, production plans, etc, of the customer in charge and communicate this information to Regions/ Product Groups.


Ensure achievement of Division sales performance for the customer in charge in line with agreed targets

  • Be the preferred interface between the customer and the Division.

  • Drive global negotiations with the Customer: business acquisition; annual productivity, market effects (currency, raw material,...)

  • Manage communication at second level in case of crisis, protect customer's relationship Coordinate important customer visits

  • Take advantage of customer intimacy to promote and develop sales for each Product Group Tailor the sales messages based on a customer's business and individual attributes

  • Take control in guiding the customer to a recommended action by discussion alternatives and reinforcing the value of making a change


Promote appropriate innovative products, modules and systems

  • Coordinate and organize lobbying activities and manage multiple Product Group RFI/RFQ's.

  • Contribute to/Initiate Innovation Tech Days in co-operation with Product Marketing and R&D.


Lead the Division interfacing with the customer
Drive and challenge the Customer Development Plan (CDP) process for customers in the Division
Network/Team management

  • Assess appropriate sales competences and performance of the network

  • Participate to the recruitment process

What You Should Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field required.

  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree is a plus.

  • 10 years of automotive sales experience

  • Experience with American based OEMs

  • Financial background is a plus

  • Understanding of Electronics is preferred.

  • Demonstrated track record of building strong internal and external networks, strong negotiation experience, electronic sales a plus

  • Project management experience a plus

  • Flexibility to travel as needed
