Depositor Operator

Summary

Reporting to the Team Leader and Line Leader, the Depositing Operator is responsible for operating the depositing machinery and/or any other applicable machinery. The Depositing Operator will also work closely and provide backup as needed to the Team Leader in order to ensure the depositing line produces a consistent product in a timely manner that meets all standards. 

In this position you will work in a team environment led by a Team Leader. You will support your Team Leader by demonstrating and practicing teamwork every day and respect all your fellow Team Members.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Operates divider machine and any other applicable equipment to ensure dough is divided in a consistent manner in accordance with FGF Brands requirements
  • Records applicable data (i.e. weight, temperature and other parameter required by FGF Brands) on supplied work sheets
  • Weighs product regularly to ensure the machine is dividing the correct amount and adjusts machine as needed
  • Uses industrial sized spatula to ensure all the product batter is scraped into the machine.
  • May need to provide break relief to team members in depositing area which includes heavy duty tasks such as pan loading/racking, rack moving, oven loading/unloading, etc.
  • Reports any equipment malfunctions and quality issues to the appropriate parties
  • Always adheres to the company GMPs and Health and Safety policies
  • Ensures that a safe and clean working environment is maintained at all times by enforcing company standards and following up on regular inspections 
  • During changeovers helps team to uninstall the parts clean them and put it back 
Required Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment (food/bakery experience is desirable)
  • Accuracy and attention to detail and the ability to detect the presence of a quality issue
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physically capable of performing the demands of the role including frequently lifting up to 50lbs
  • Ability to move from one task to another with minimal distraction
  • Flexible to work days, afternoons, nights & weekends if needed
  • Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English with all levels of the organization.
