Job Responsibilities
  • Direct responsibility for projects, and leading a team in the development of plans and specifications for medium and large-scale transportation projects that include preliminary engineering, schematics, paving, grading, drainage, structures, traffic engineering, traffic control, utility adjustments, environmental permits, ROW acquisition, and other miscellaneous items
  • Oversee and/or work with a team of engineers, designers, and technicians
  • Work with other consultant companies to lead General Engineering Consultant (GEC) and program management contracts
  • Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control in review of plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E), and all other deliverables
  • Manage project budgets and schedules
  • Assist with business development efforts for new and existing clients such as TXDOT and local agencies
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Registered/licensed PE in TX
  • 10 years of experience working with roadway projects, including 5 years of experience as a project manager
  • Experience doing business development for transportation projects with state, county, municipal, and local public entities.
  • Experience with MicroStation, Geopak Open Roads, Geopak Drainage, HEC-RAS, as well as experience with development of plans for TxDOT, Harris County, Fort Bend County or other governmental agencies in the region
  • Experience managing General Engineering Consultant (GEC) and program management contracts, including task order execution, staff augmentation, and owner's representative services
  • Experience with multiple delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, and CMAR, for large-scale transportation programs
  • Light to moderate travel - occasionally required
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions may be required
  • Must be able to work extra hours, including evenings and weekends, when needed as project schedule demands
