Assistant General Manager – Aqua-Tots Swim School 

(Swim School Manager | Operations Manager) 

Location: Falls Church, VA
Job Type: Full-Time 
Pay Range: $50,000–$57,000 per year plus eligibility for monthly bonuses 
Schedule: Flexible availability required, including afternoons/evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the school and season.

This role leads team development, customer experience, sales growth, and daily swim school operations to ensure families receive world-class swim lessons in a safe and welcoming environment.

What You’ll Do

Support School Operations – Partner with the General Manager to help oversee daily school operations, maintain facility and brand standards, and ensure the pool, deck, and front office operate smoothly.

Lead Front Desk & Aquatics Teams – Provide leadership and support to Front Desk teammates and Aquatic leadership to ensure consistent service, communication, and team accountability.

Drive Customer Experience & Sales – Help maintain high customer engagement by educating families on the Aqua-Tots Learn to Swim program, supporting enrollment conversations, and ensuring a positive experience for every family.

Manage Scheduling & Coverage – Support team scheduling and daily coverage to ensure proper staffing for swim lessons and front office operations.

Coach & Develop Teammates – Assist with hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating teammates while helping maintain a positive, high-performing team culture.

Monitor Quality & Consistency – Ensure swim lessons, customer interactions, and facility standards consistently reflect the Aqua-Tots brand and experience.

Support School Performance – Assist the General Manager in tracking sales performance, monitoring customer feedback, and supporting operational initiatives that help the school grow.

What We’re Looking For 

  • 1+ years of management experience (operations, hospitality, education, or retail preferred) 

  • Strong customer service and people leadership skills 

  • Someone who thrives on building teams, solving problems, and creating positive experiences 

  • Flexible availability to meet the needs of the school 

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred 

  • CPR certified & Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license  (or willing to obtain — we’ll provide training)
