The District Manager is a dynamic and results-oriented leader responsible for driving sales, maximizing profitability, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining operational excellence across an assigned district of showrooms. This role is centered on accountability, agility in responding to evolving retail trends, and cultivating a culture of high performance and continuous team development.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales Leadership + Accountability

  • Drive the achievement of district-level sales goals, KPIs, and profitability targets.
  • Partner with showroom management to set and exceed individual showroom performance targets.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities, improve performance, and drive revenue growth.
  • Lead district-wide sales strategies, promotions, and initiatives to ensure alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Hold showroom teams accountable for consistent execution of sales processes and standards.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee operational efficiency and ensure showrooms meet company standards for performance and appearance.
  • Conduct regular showroom visits to identify opportunities and celebrate successes.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, compliance standards, and operational rollouts.
  • Monitor and manage showroom staffing levels, ensuring appropriate coverage to optimize customer service and sales.
  • Support New Showroom Openings (NSO) within the district, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
  • Manage and be held accountable for alterations costs, timelines, and overall efficiency.
  • Focus on reducing remakes by analyzing trends, identifying root causes, and implementing improvements.
  • Maintain and analyze profit and loss statements, identifying opportunities to drive revenue and improve profitability across the district.

Adaptability to Changing Retail Landscapes

  • Stay ahead of retail trends and implement strategies to address changes in customer behavior, market conditions, and technology.
  • Foster a culture of agility and continuous improvement within the district.
  • Lead the adoption of new tools, processes, and systems to enhance showroom performance and customer experience.

People Development

  • Recruit, hire, and develop top talent to fill showroom roles and build a strong leadership pipeline.
  • Retain top talent in showrooms demonstrating promising growth by providing development opportunities and recognition.
  • Provide consistent coaching and feedback to showroom managers, fostering a culture of learning and accountability.
  • Facilitate training programs on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service excellence.
  • Collaborate with showroom managers on succession planning and career development for their teams.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure a consistently exceptional customer experience across all showrooms in the district.
  • Lead by example in resolving escalated customer concerns, ensuring outcomes align with company standards.
  • Educate showroom teams on forecasting customer needs and leveraging data to enhance the customer journey.

Merchandising + Product Management

  • Ensure all showrooms meet visual merchandising standards and accurately execute promotional activities.
  • Partner with showroom teams to identify and address product and inventory opportunities.
  • Guide showroom teams on effective product storytelling to enhance customer engagement and sales.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of progressive multi-unit management experience in a customer-driven retail environment, preferably in fashion apparel.
  • Proven ability to drive top-line sales and profitability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and analyzing retail metrics to inform decision-making and improve performance.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience managing operational P&Ls and leveraging value levers to optimize results.
  • Ability to adapt to and lead through changes in retail trends and technologies.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel regularly upwards of 75% of the time within the assigned district

Compensation range: $85,000 - $95,000

This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus tied to the overall results of all showrooms under the District Manager’s scope.
