Responsibilities

  • Lead Daily Operations:Supervise the implementation of daily operating plans, maintain current electrical system status, and implement actions to compensate for system disturbances.
  • Customer Service Excellence:Provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally, ensuring satisfaction and reliability.
  • Technical Supervision:Oversee company and contractor technical personnel involved in real-time actions related to power system reliability.
  • Construction and Maintenance:Assist/Coordinate with managing construction projects, maintenance tasks, and emergency response efforts to ensure seamless operations.
  • Innovative Practices:Develop and maintain strong relationships with other departments to improve job efficiencies and reduce operating costs by researching and implementing "Best Practices" and new technologies.
  • Shift Work: Be prepared to work 1sr shift as required to support continuous operations. It will require working some weekends

Basic Requirements

  • Educational Background:Post-secondary, vocational, or technical training in a relevant field.
  • Industry Knowledge:In-depth understanding of industry practices related to safe electric utility distribution system operations and the electric service restoration process.
  • Interpersonal Skills:Ability to work effectively with people and build strong working relationships.
  • Problem Solving:Strong problem-solving and resource management skills to handle complex situations.
  • Technical Proficiency:Intermediate computer skills to manage operational tasks efficiently.
  • Experience:Previous line experience preferred but not required. A 4-year degree is preferred, but equivalent experience is acceptable.
