Position Description

As a Transportation Sales Specialist you will possess a passion for the Automotive Channel, and Automotive Aftermarket End User. This sales position requires great industry and product knowledge and the ability to communicate Milwaukee's commitment to excellence. You will be responsible for increasing the POS sales of Milwaukee Power Tools, Hand Tools, and Accessories, working closely with our strategic distribution partner's outside sales teams. A self-motivated approach, and team first attitude are essential to this role.

This role will require successful candidates to drive a Ford Transit Van as their primary vehicle. These impressive vehicles will be Mobile Milwaukee Showrooms, fully equipped with merchandising, and product samples tailored to delight the Automotive Aftermarket End User and put on display our industry leading innovation.

What You Will Do

  • Meet and exceed monthly sales targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our distribution partner's sales teams (Sales Management, Business Development Managers, Outside Sales Reps and Inside Sales Reps)
  • Works alongside distribution sales to target top automotive aftermarket end user sales opportunities through daily joint sales calls.
  • Work closely with RFSM/NAM/SAM account owners to ensure alignment on quarterly distributors plans.
  • Collaborate and communicate with local Milwaukee Territory Reps to stay informed of recent automotive New Dealer Placement wins
  • Utilize Mobile Milwaukee Showroom van to facilitate awareness, trial, sale and/or conversion with targeted end users, driving POS through our strategic distribution partner's members / stores.
  • Work closely with Milwaukee's Jobsite Solutions team for large competitive conversion opportunities.
  • Independently organize and execute monthly "in-shop" end user product knowledge sessions, and in-branch lunch & learn style product knowledge sessions on existing and new products.
  • Some time spent ensuring Milwaukee planogram integrity, and merchandising excellence in-store.
  • Execute quarterly and monthly plans at the store / member level and with key stake holders.
  • Expedite the resolution of end user problems and issues.
  • Track, document, and report all in-field and in-store activity, initiatives, and successes through daily/weekly submissions.
  • Support and implement strategic marketing initiatives.
  • Report and comment on trends within the market.
  • Maintain product knowledge excellence through continued focus on existing and new product training.
  • Manage assigned travel and expense budget.
  • Other duties as required.

  • 1-2 years sales and/or marketing experience.
  • University degree or College diploma.
  • Must be proficient in computer skills and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills - written, verbal and excellent presentation skills.
  • Takes positive approach and has sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with internal resources.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and passport.
  • Ability to travel outside of your local market 50% of the time.
