Job Description: Regional Sales Manager
Company: Wonder Meats
Location: Remote with regional travel required
Employment Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Compensation: Competitive base salary plus commission-based incentive compensation tied to sales performance and achievement of business objectives.
Position Overview:
As a key member of the sales team, the Regional Sales Manager will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and will be responsible for driving sales growth of Wonder Meats products and services across the assigned territories. This role will focus on developing new business opportunities while managing and strengthening relationships with existing customers. The Regional Sales Manager will utilize a fact-based, targeted selling approach to identify distribution opportunities, uncover gaps within customer plans, and develop strategic solutions that drive growth. The position will collaborate closely with regional sales teams, operators, distributors, and retailers to expand the Wonder Meats portfolio and maximize market opportunities.
The assigned territory for this position includes Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in product training, cuttings, business reviews, food shows and conduct presentations to key existing and new end user customers.
  • Expose gaps and opportunities with certain operators, distributors & retailers.
  • Ensure all portfolio of Brands are sold to every customer.
  • Create and improve the purchase of products through our existing customer base.
  • Monitor progress, or lack of, towards designated target goals and initiatives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge/ Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a similar field preferred.
  • 5+ years of outside sales experience, with proven success in food production, manufacturing, food distribution, or the protein industry. Strong knowledge of protein manufacturing and experience managing customer relationships within the foodservice or retail channels preferred.
  • Restaurant or commercial kitchen experience preferred, with a strong understanding of foodservice operations, culinary applications, and operator needs.
  • Detail-oriented, self-starter, team player.
  • Exhibits sound judgement with the ability to prioritize and make decisions.
  • Comfortable interacting with high-level executives with a resourceful, can-do attitude.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products suite including Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail & strong organizational ability.
  • Effective communication skills: Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
