Senior Development Officer

Relias Healthcare

Tupelo, MS โ€ข On-site

Full-time

Re-posted 16 days ago

Job description

Relias Healthcare is a physician-led emergency medicine and hospital medicine practice management company built around supporting clinicians, strengthening hospital partnerships, and doing healthcare differently.
We are seeking a Senior Development Officer to help build and lead the next stage of Relias Healthcare's growth strategy. This is a senior role for someone who understands hospital-based physician services, has meaningful relationships with hospital and health system leaders, and knows how to turn opportunity into disciplined, profitable, mission-aligned growth.
This person will lead our business development strategy, help build our growth roadmap, manage new partnership opportunities, support proposal and pro forma development, and work closely with executive, clinical, operational, finance, and marketing leaders to grow Relias the right way.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build and lead the Relias Healthcare business development function.
  • Develop a growth roadmap aligned with Relias' strategic, operational, clinical, and margin goals.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new hospital and health system partnership opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospital CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CMOs, consultants, and physician leaders.
  • Lead the development process from early relationship building through proposal, pro forma, negotiation support, and operational handoff.
  • Work with finance and operations to evaluate contract economics, staffing models, margin, and long-term value.
  • Support RFP responses, presentations, proposals, and executive-level conversations.
  • Create discipline around pipeline management, market prioritization, and deal-stage reporting.
  • Partner with marketing to refine Relias' growth message and public-facing materials.
  • Represent Relias at industry events, conferences, and strategic meetings.

Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of healthcare business development, sales, strategy, operations, or partnership experience.
  • Experience in hospital-based physician services, acute care services, physician practice management, or complex healthcare service lines.
  • Strong relationships with hospital or health system executives, preferably in the Southeast or Gulf states.
  • Experience managing a full business development process, including prospecting, proposals, RFPs, executive presentations, and negotiation support.
  • Ability to understand and facilitate work around pro formas, contract economics, pricing strategy, staffing models, and margin impact.
  • Strong executive presence and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly.
  • Preferred Experience
  • Experience building or professionalizing a business development function.
  • Experience with HubSpot or another CRM platform.
  • Experience in a physician-led, founder-led, entrepreneurial, or high-growth healthcare organization.

Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a builder. Someone who can sell, but does not sound like a salesperson. Someone who understands that healthcare growth is earned through trust, credibility, timing, and follow-through.
This person must understand our culture, care about physicians and advanced practice clinicians, and help Relias grow in a way that strengthens the company without losing what makes us different.
Equal Opportunity Employer
This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
