Job Summary: The Field Sales Engineer is responsible for managing and growing sales within a defined territory by acting as a strategic partner to customers, distributors, and internal stakeholders. This role serves as a primary point of contact for technical sales of Dodge products and solutions, driving volume growth and capturing new business opportunities through field engagement and relationship development.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and customer focus to identify and convert opportunities, support channel partners, and build long-term relationships in the power transmission industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Growth
• Develop and execute territory sales plans aligned with company objectives.
• Identify new business opportunities and support conversions to Dodge products through plant surveys and customer interaction.
• Achieve year-over-year sales growth by increasing volume and expanding into new accounts.
Customer & Channel Engagement
• Build strong relationships with distributor partners and end users.
• Conduct regular branch and customer site visits to maintain visibility and support local sales efforts.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and technical resource to customers.
Technical Support & Product Application
• Provide product recommendations and interchange solutions based on plant surveys and application analysis.
• Collaborate with product marketing, engineering, and inside sales teams to support customer needs.
• Communicate product advantages and ensure customer satisfaction through consultative selling.
Collaboration & Territory Management
• Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager and other Sales Engineers to share best practices and align efforts.
• Develop and execute joint business plans with key distributor and customer contacts.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to leverage resources and close strategic opportunities.
Reporting & Tools Utilization
• Submit accurate sales reports and expense documentation in a timely manner.
• Use Salesforce, Power BI, and other tools to track performance, forecast opportunities, and analyze sales trends.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree (technical field preferred) or equivalent relevant experience.
• 2–3 years of experience in the power transmission or industrial equipment industry.
• 1–2 years of Dodge product knowledge preferred.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
