As one of the nation's largest producers of premium citrus juices, we are seeking a Business Development Manager to support the Southeast US to include Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle representing Natalie’s Orchid Island Juices. Summary:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving profitable sales growth and expanding distribution throughout Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle. This position will work closely with foodservice distributors, distributor sales teams, independent operators, chain accounts, and Natalie’s internal Sales and Marketing teams to execute strategic growth initiatives.

This individual will be responsible for developing new business while expanding existing customer relationships and increasing SKU penetration across the territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as the face of Natalies Orchid Island Juice Co. with communication and interaction with internal partners, distributors, and independent retail partners.
  • Manage and grow sales to meet and exceed sales goals. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory. Manage and grow existing customer accounts, including distributors, food service partners, and ingredient customers
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with key accounts distributors and other channel partners.
  • Work with Regional Sales manager to create and execute strategic plans to expand the customer base and increase market share.
  • Utilize CRM and other tools to track customer activity managing and maintaining territory with up-to-date records of all sales activity.
  • Work with accounts receivable to support and help manage customer accounts issues, seeing that issues are handled quickly and professionally.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, networking events, and customer meetings as needed.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide market intelligence to leadership

Essential Duties:

  • Grow sales in conjunction with company's sales and marketing team's vision and goals.
  • Call on foodservice wholesalers and distributors and independent retail accounts with & without distributor sales reps to increase sales and brand awareness.
  • Anticipate trends and opportunities and communicate those findings with distributors and Perricone's internal team.
  • Coordinate pricing, goals, and points of distribution with customers across their territory.
  • Communicate and manages sales within all layers of distributor's management team (Executive, Procurement, Sales, and Quality).
  • Call on foodservice wholesalers and distributors and independent retail accounts with & without distributor sales reps to increase sales and brand awareness.
  • Identify new business opportunities, including key accounts, partnerships, events and promotions.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, and Leadership teams to execute company initiatives and deliver exceptional customer support
  • Assist with development and execution of sales programs and marketing promotions. Present and clearly communicate programs to distributor sales teams.
  • Help develop strategic and tactical plans for achieving sales and profitability goals. Anticipate trends, develop forecasts and budgets, and offer strategic plan for expanding sales and distribution.
  • Provide accurate and timely information necessary to improve business, including pricing, promotions, sales trends and other competitive activity as well as a reasonable action plan.

Food Safety Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all Plant, State and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations.

Organizational Relationships:

  • Position reports to Regional Sales Manager Southeast
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales with distributor or consumer products; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven success managing distributor relationships and distribution channels
  • Solid grasp of sales metrics, performance measures, and technical indicators.
  • Able to meet fixed deadlines and Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of sales metrics, KPIs, forecasting, and performance measurement.
  • Demonstrable and proven work experience as account manager and in negotiating/meeting clients' requirements.
  • Strong Communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a strong client-focused mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience will also be considered.
  • Self-Motivated and strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Travel approximately 50%, including occasional evenings and weekends.
