About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a highly regulated distribution and logistics operation supporting healthcare, government, and commercial supply chain initiatives. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, driving operational excellence, and leading a team of warehouse and support personnel.
The ideal candidate will bring strong warehouse leadership experience within a regulated environment, a hands-on management style, and the ability to balance employee accountability with positive team engagement.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to warehouse and operations personnel.
• Manage day-to-day distribution, warehousing, inventory control, and fulfillment activities.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
• Monitor and improve operational metrics including productivity, accuracy, inventory integrity, and service levels.
• Develop and execute plans to improve efficiency, performance, and employee engagement.
• Manage departmental budgets and monitor spending trends.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
• Lead site readiness for audits, inspections, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Oversee emergency response and business continuity initiatives as required.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Military logistics or military leadership background.
• 5+ years of warehouse, distribution, or supply chain management experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Experience working within a highly regulated industry such as healthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical device, government logistics, or related sectors.
• Working knowledge of FDA, DEA, GMP/cGMP, quality, and compliance standards.
• Experience managing inventory, warehousing, and distribution operations.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and operational metrics.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting government contracts, emergency response operations, or mission-critical logistics environments.
• Experience with temperature-controlled or cold-chain distribution operations.
