Job Description:

As a Business Development Representative, your primary focus will be generating new business opportunities by identifying and engaging with potential clients. This role places a strong emphasis on developing new business while also nurturing and strengthening existing customer relationships. You will play a crucial role in expanding Mutual’s customer base and driving overall sales growth.

We are looking for a driven individual who is hungry to deliver outstanding customer experience and is motivated to build new relationships, develop new customers, and drive sales.

In this role, you will be responsible for helping grow our business around the south of Washington from Tacoma to Portland Oregon. 

The salary range for this position is $60,000–$75,000 and includes an auto allowance. Additional variable compensation programs are also available.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through a variety of channels, including cold calling, email outreach, social selling, and industry networking. Consistently build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients.

Market Research and Analysis: Monitor industry trends to identify new market opportunities and anticipate evolving customer needs.

Solution Presentation: Clearly communicate the value of Mutual Materials’ products and services through confident, consultative presentations tailored to the specific needs of each client.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with the Marketing team to develop targeted outreach strategies, support campaigns, and maximize the conversion of leads into new business opportunities.

Sales Performance: Consistently work toward meeting or exceeding established sales goals and performance metrics related to qualified leads, new accounts, and revenue growth.

CRM Management: Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, lead status, and sales activities using CRM tools to ensure transparency, organization, and effective follow-up

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of commercial construction practices, design, and experience working with building materials or masonry is preferred but not required.

  • Previous sales experience

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment that demands strong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills in all forms (written, in-person, and telephone). Must be proactive, friendly, conscientious, diligent, and committed to contributing to operational goals in a positive and productive manner.

  • A clean driving record is required.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; detail-oriented, resourceful, and thorough in completing projects.

  • Demonstrated success in growing company sales revenue and market share through customer engagement.

  • High level of integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic, strategically driven environment.

  • Ability to travel locally within the assigned territory.
