Business Development Manager
Location: Addison, TX (Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex)

At Ratcliff Constructors LP (RCLP), we believe "Though great relationships, we build great things!"
As part of the Ratcliff family of companies, we've built a reputation for delivering exceptional commercial construction projects by putting people first and staying true to our core values of Safety, Teamwork, Integrity, Excellence, and Family Orientated.
We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who thrives on meeting new people, building lasting relationships, and creating opportunities. This is an opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth of Ratcliff Constructors LP throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market while representing a company known for quality, integrity, and long-term partnerships.
You'll Love This Role If...
  • You enjoy meeting new people and building genuine relationships.
  • You naturally identify opportunities others might overlook.
  • You'd rather spend your day visiting clients and networking than sitting behind a desk.
  • You enjoy representing your company in the community and building a strong professional network.
  • You're motivated by helping your team win exciting projects.
  • You enjoy the freedom to manage your own schedule and develop your own approach.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same

What You'll Do
As our Business Development Manager, you'll serve as the face of Ratcliff Constructors LP throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth market. You'll develop new relationships, strengthen existing partnerships, and help position our team for continued success.
In this role, you'll:
  • Build relationships that lead to exciting commercial construction opportunities
  • Identify and pursue new business through networking, client meetings, industry events, market research, and proactive outreach
  • Become a trusted resource for owners, developers, architects, engineers, brokers, municipalities, investors, and industry partners
  • Develop and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities from the first conversation through project award
  • Monitor market trends, upcoming developments, and competitor activity to identify future opportunities
  • Collaborate with our preconstruction and operations teams to develop competitive pursuit strategies
  • Assist with qualifications packages, proposals, interview presentations, and other client-facing materials
  • Represent Ratcliff Constructors, LP at networking events, industry organizations, community functions, and client meetings
  • Champion our commitment to Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Budget in every client interaction

What We're Looking for
We're looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people just as much as they enjoy building business.
The ideal candidate will have:
  • 5+ years of business development, sales, or client relationship experience within the construction industry
  • A proven ability to develop relationships that generate new business opportunities
  • Experience working with owners, developers, architects, engineers, brokers, municipalities, or commercial real estate professionals
  • An established network within the Dallas-Fort Worth construction market is highly preferred
  • Experience in the light industrial market, including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers, is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • The ability to manage multiple opportunities while maintaining exceptional client relationships
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; CRM experience is a plus.
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

What Success Looks Like
Success in this role isn't measured by the number of phone calls you make. It's measured by the relationships you build, the opportunities you create, and the projects you help bring to Ratcliff Constructors, LP.
Bring your energy, your network, and your passion for building relationships. We'll provide the team, the support, and the opportunity to help you succeed.
Why Ratcliff Constructors LP?
At Ratcliff, you're more than a number. You'll join a team that values collaboration, supports professional growth, and recognizes the contributions of every employee. We're committed to building lasting relationships-not only with our clients, but with the people who make our success possible.
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Company-Paid Life Insurance
  • Disability Insurance
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Paid Vacation and Sick Leave
  • Paid Maternity/Paternity Leave
  • Professional Development Opportunities
  • Family-Oriented Culture
  • Opportunities for Long-Term Career Growth

If you're looking for a career where your relationships matter, your ideas are valued, and your success directly contributes to the growth of a respected commercial contractor, we want to hear from you!
