Description:

Title: Internal Development Manager| Location: Dallas, TX
Job Information

HELM is seeking an Internal Development Manager to spearhead the growth of the bproauto and Mopar brands within a prominent Dallas-based dealer organization. This strategic position is divided into two core functions: optimizing internal part utilization for all non-OEM and used vehicle repairs across all rooftops and aggressively expanding external wholesale market share. The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of inventory logistics expertise and a proven "hunter" mentality in the automotive aftermarket. You will be expected to leverage existing relationships with independent repair shops and distributors to drive immediate revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Integration: Drive the adoption and utilization of bproauto parts for all competitive-make and used car repair orders across the dealer group’s rooftops.
  • Inventory Coordination: Partner closely with Dealer Parts Managers to ensure local inventory levels align with internal demand and wholesale sales targets.
  • Revenue Optimization: Increase internal brand loyalty and part penetration to meet and exceed monthly organizational revenue goals.

External Wholesale Development

  • Market Expansion: Identify and conquest new wholesale opportunities for Mopar and bproauto, targeting independent repair shops, warehouse distributors (WDs), and mass redistributors.
  • Account Management: Generate new key accounts through a mix of networking, cold calling, and data-driven market research.
  • Field Engagement: Execute regular face-to-face sales visits—both independently and alongside dealership representatives—to cultivate long-term purchase loyalty.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Identify potential Redistribution Stocking Locations (RSL) and WD prospects, coordinating with the national redistribution team for onboarding and management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in automotive parts sales or dealership parts management.
  • Inventory Expertise: Proven background in inventory management systems and supply chain logistics within an automotive context.
  • Relationship Network: Bring established relationships with large wholesale accounts in the Dallas market.
  • Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to conquest sales from competitors and manage a high-volume sales funnel.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to influence both internal dealership stakeholders and external business owners.
  • Mobility: Ability to travel frequently within the Dallas market for on-site dealership support and client visits.
Requirements:

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with Mopar and bproauto product lines.
  • Previous experience working with Warehouse Distributors (WDs) or Mass Redistributors.
  • Strong analytical skills to track sales metrics and market trends.
