About the role: 

Are you a proactive leader with a passion for operational excellence? We're looking for an Outbound Distribution Supervisor to lead our fulfillment operations in our Johns Creek, GA facility-ensuring timely and accurate delivery of life-changing medical device products to customers across the U.S. and around the world.

In this role, you'll oversee our pick, pack, and ship processes, including partial shipments and LTL services for both domestic and international orders. You'll be a hands-on floor leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a strong sense of urgency to every shift.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM-7:30 PM
Flexibility: Occasional weekends and holidays as needed

Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Supervise, lead and coach warehouse associates, while spending time on the operations floor.
  • Meet daily operational activities (receive, storage, pick, pack, and ship) and proactively identify and resolve issues. 
  • Multiple technical systems including Labor Management and Warehouse Management tools are utilized to support daily operational activities. 
  • Meet quality objectives by ensuring compliance to quality systems and partner with Quality function as necessary. 
  • Meet facility and department cost, budget objectives and business group goals.
  • Promote, monitor and ensure a safe work environment and adhere to all safety policies. 
  • Participation, and in some cases lead, strategic and business improvement activities.
  • Facilitate and manage cross department communications and initiatives. 
  • Work with global supply chain managers and planning groups to resolve issues and work to improve business processes.
  • Oversee the management of the department mechanical equipment fleet and other equipment.
  • Ensure integrity of data systems (i.e. Kronos, SAP, Manhattan, etc.).
  • Primary driver for project related work and implementation phases.
  • Perform administrative duties, such as employee meetings, Kronos/attendance, performance appraisals (input w/ mgr.), disciplinary actions, job descriptions, interviewing, rewards & recognition, training/development, and labor management assessments and facilitation.
  • Ensure compliance to functional operating instructions.
  • Provide short-range planning concerning staffing requirements, OT requirements, schedules, budget, and space requirements.
  • Provide long-range planning concerning staffing, budget, equipment requirements, methods improvements, capital equipment, and technology improvements (bar coding, scanning/automaton, retrieval systems, etc.).

 
Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of related work experience (or an equivalent combination of education and work experience)
  • 2+ years of distribution experience 
  • 1+ year of leadership/team lead experience 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization 
  • Efficient in using Microsoft Suite applications
  • Ability to operate within several operational and reporting systems at one time
  • Experience in Commercial Invoice Documentation Management
  • LTL Shipment Management

 
Preferred qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of supervisory experience 
  • Experience with SAP (or similar systems) and Warehouse Management Systems
  • Experience with Lean tools and principles
  • Root cause analysis experience 
  • Experience with International Shipping/Exporting
  • Experience with Labor Management Systems
  • FDA/Regulated environment experience
  • Bi- Lingual (Spanish)
  • Warehouse Automation experience
  • Medical Distribution experience
