Job description

Who We Are
McMaster-Carr is a leading e-commerce company that industrial customers have trusted for over 120 years. Our products help them get manufacturing lines back up quickly, keep operations running smoothly, and prototype the next generation of innovative solutions. We earn and keep that trust by offering the right products, making them easy to find, and delivering them fast, so our customers can solve problems with greater speed, precision, and ease. Behind it all are our people: exceptional and resourceful problem-solvers who take pride in getting every detail right for our customers.
What You'll Do
At McMaster-Carr, working in distribution isn't just a job, it's a career. As a Distribution Operations Specialist, you'll have responsibilities across multiple areas of our world-class facility, performing essential work to ensure our customers receive the parts they need accurately and on time.
You'll begin by learning and mastering one core role within our facility. Once you've built proficiency in that role, you'll expand your skillset through experiences such as:

  • Preparing outgoing packages and conducting quality checks to ensure presentation and accuracy
  • Handling oversized or heavy inventory using powered industrial vehicles (training provided)

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work and are results-oriented self-starters. Our warehouse is clean, temperature-controlled, and equipped with technology to help you do your best work.
Who You Are
A bachelor's degree is preferred for this role.
We're looking for dependable, adaptable, and hard-working individuals excited to contribute to a highly organized and evolving distribution environment. Ideal candidates will have:

  • Physical ability to work on your feet and perform repetitive tasks
  • Experience with adhering to structured processes and making justified decisions
  • A focus on safety of themselves and others
  • Willingness to train on material handling equipment (experience is a plus but not required)
  • A team mindset, strong work ethic, and a desire to grow through hands-on work

Cash Compensation
Total cash compensation ranges from $95,500 - $108,500 annually, which includes annual cash profit sharing based on company profitability.
Benefits
We offer comprehensive benefits to support employees and their dependents, such as:
  • 100% tuition reimbursement
  • Medical, dental, pharmacy, and vision plans with no monthly premiums
  • Industry-leading company-funded retirement accounts
  • Employee resource groups
  • Inclusive, all-gender benefits
  • First-time home buyer assistance
  • Paid parental leave for all new parents
  • Adoption and surrogacy assistance
  • Paid time off for vacation and personal time
