Territory Sales Manager

We have an opportunity for a Territory Sales Manager to join our Canada sales team. This highly successful business manufactures water pump solutions used in commercial fire suppression and HVAC systems, as well as municipal water, wastewater treatment, and flood control. The Named Account Executive is responsible for driving profitable growth across an assigned territory by developing distributor/channel strategies, expanding project specification influence, and converting demand into revenue. This role partners closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to position Pentair solutions in commercial and municipal pump applications.

You will:
  • Develop and execute a territory strategy across commercial and municipal pump markets to achieve bookings, revenue, and margin targets.
  • Build, lead, and hold distributors/channel partners accountable to joint business plans, growth targets, and market coverage expectations.
  • Drive new demand by influencing upstream stakeholders (engineers, consultants, contractors, owners) to increase specification and preference for Pentair solutions.
  • Manage opportunities end-to-end from specification through quotation, order execution, and project close, coordinating internal resources to deliver on customer commitments.
  • Seek and activate new distributor relationships, expand coverage in emerging markets and follow up on leads sourced through Dodge, RevOps, and AEs.
  • Communicate and present Pentair's value proposition to technical and commercial audiences through meetings, trainings, and customer-facing presentations.
  • Maintain accurate territory forecasts, opportunity pipelines, and activity tracking in CRM tools.
  • Represent Pentair at regional industry events, distributor meetings, and customer visits to expand relationships and visibility.
Key Qualifications
  • Have earned a bachelor's (B.A. or B.S.) degree.
  • 5+ years of sales experience with experience managing B2B sales in distribution-led environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute territory plans, grow distributor performance, and win project-based business.
  • Working knowledge of pumps, pumping systems, or adjacent fluid-handling equipment; ability to discuss applications and selection fundamentals.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Travel:

  • 60% overnight travel to meet with key accounts, end-users, engineering firms, general contractors, and distributors, or attend trade shows/events.

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated total target cash (TTC) range will be from $137300 - $254900 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with a demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as sales incentive bonuses.
