In addition to the essential functions of the front office, the Distribution Coordinator's job responsibilities include coordinating the scheduling of incoming freight, ownership of the transportation maintenance schedule and coordinating with customers.

Job Description

Experience Required: 6 months to 1 year
Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent
Travel Required: Regional - Daily, Less than 10%
Lifting Requirement: Up to 10 pounds
Job Responsibilities
  • Utilizing Manhattan, schedule incoming freight for ABF and Old Dom, create, input and maintain a daily receiving schedule for ABF and Old Dom.
  • Ownership designee of transportation maintenance schedule; includes interaction with centralized scheduling, buyers, venders and carriers.
  • Utilizing Manhattan, analyze the daily scheduling parameters to ensure efficient operation of all incoming freight loads and determine if overbooking is possible.
  • Schedule incoming freight for pharmacy including controlled substances and over the counter pharmaceuticals.
  • Track vacation, personal and sick days used by union members and respond to inquiries regarding availability and usage of these days.
  • Department Administrator for Enterprise Training Administration, Discipline Letters (Safety, Attendance and PCWs), special event activities, and union correspondence.
  • Assist both internal/external customer complaints and inquires. Research and relay information to proper channels to ensure issues are effectively resolved.
  • Efficiently fulfill front-office responsibilities including schedule facility-meeting rooms; answer phone inquires; effectively communicate and monitor compliance of visitors to the building; sort and distribute incoming/outgoing mail; maintain Company bulletin boards with postings requests and updated labor law posters; demonstrate a professional manner in the front office area by fostering good working relations with buyers, vendors, visitors, employees and management.
  • Develop and maintain various administrative spreadsheets including safety awards; DEA compliance, performance report, perfect attendance and receiving.
  • Input and submit all accident and injury reports; complete and submit Worker's Compensation forms when applicable; assemble Worker's Compensation packets when necessary.
  • Draft disciplinary letters regarding safety infractions an maintain accurate documentation in Team Member's files.
