Job Title/High-Level Position Summary:

The Distribution Supervisor is responsible for overseeing operations, customer service, administration, and systems, with a strong focus on strategic execution and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role manages the receiving, storing, and distribution of finished goods while ensuring operational efficiency, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction. Leveraging computerized systems, this role monitors stock levels, fulfills customer orders, and manages shipments and deliveries. The position requires a proven ability to lead through change, optimize processes, and resolve conflicts effectively, while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability. This leader will play a critical role in the ongoing transformation of distribution operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to an hourly workforce, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

  • Coach, mentor, and develop employees, ensuring a high-performing team aligned with organizational goals.

  • Drive change management initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and implement process improvements that support transformation objectives.

  • Identify and resolve operational and personnel conflicts, ensuring a positive and productive work environment.

  • Oversee employee relations, addressing concerns promptly while promoting trust and engagement.

  • Evaluate and allocate resources effectively to meet business demands while minimizing costs.

  • Champion Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance performance.

  • Manage customer-specific requirements such as labeling, shipping, and returns in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Monitor and approve employee timecards, ensuring compliance with company policies.

  • Support the procurement of supplies and resources to maintain operational readiness.

  • Establish and communicate clear expectations for team performance, aligning goals with business priorities.

Minimum Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and build consensus.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through continuous improvement and change management initiatives.

  • Strategic thinking and decision-making capabilities, with a results-driven mindset.

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of supply chain/distribution/warehouse experience (3+ in leadership), or

  • Associate degree with 7+ years (4+ in leadership).
