Generally Monday - Friday: 8am-5pm; varies dependent upon workload and time of year and on-call weekends on a rotational schedule. Average 40-50 hours per week
Position Description:
The Draught Specialist is responsible for providing exemplary execution in the areas of customer service, draught line implementation and maintenance and timely responses to service calls. This position works closely with all customers to ensure operations are in compliance with the company's objectives and policies. The Draught Specialist plays a key role in helping Doll Distributing with their vision: Building Brands and Building Relationships. All duties performed are expected to be within the objectives, standards, mission, and policies of Doll Distributing LLC, State of Iowa laws and regulations governing the beer industry, and brewery/supplier requirements.
Essential Functions:
  • Using necessary solutions, clean all draught lines every 14 days by process of disassembling, reassembling, and reinstalling
  • Demonstrate and consistently follow the guidelines for cleaning draught lines
  • Clean keg couplers
  • Based on company guidelines, ensure Co2 pressure and temperatures are in compliance, maintain faucets, and check for bad gaskets
  • Respond to service calls and commit to troubleshoot and resolve any draught line problems or inquiries
  • Install new draught lines and systems at customer accounts when necessary
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to the service needs of the customer to build retailer relationships and sales
  • Proactively monitors all competitive activity for assigned categories
  • Other duties as assigned

Non Essential Functions:
  • Serve as a back-up to other draught specialists when on leave
  • Provide on-call customer service for any draught support at special events
  • Check kegs in warehouse for any defective issues
  • Order cleaning solutions and parts when needed

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
  • Demonstrate a commitment to learning and understanding product portfolios
  • Effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision
  • Demonstrate strong communication, customer relations, and problem resolution skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Outlook and either entry-level (or ability to learn) Mobility
  • Able to work with a diverse group of people
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner while effectively growing retailer relationships and sales

Qualifications:
  • Must be 19 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, ability to write routine reports and correspondence, ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • Basic mechanical background
  • Valid drivers' license required

Working Conditions:
  • Temperature/Climate
    • This position will spend 90% of the shift in a climate-controlled environment and 10% of the shift in an outdoor environment
    • May work outside in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to: ice and extreme heat
  • Safety Considerations
    • Exposure to chemical from beer line cleaner
  • Personal Protective Equipment necessary
    • Recommended when filling bottles for special care
  • Physical/Mental Organizational Capabilities
    • The individual in this role must possess the ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and climb stairs on a frequent basis. Must have the ability to safely lift a minimum of 24 lbs. without assistance, waist level, waist to should level, shoulder level to overhead. Must have ability to push/pull/lift a maximum of 165 lbs. with appropriate equipment. Requires significant demands on these physical requirements through entire work shift with tasks performed in all weather conditions. The ability to pay attention to detail, problem solve, troubleshoot, and make decisions is required
