Delivery Driver

Schedule:1st Shift, within standard Mon-Fri work week. Depending on location, employees may work 4 or 5 day schedule.

Position Description:

Drivers are responsible for ensuring timely delivery of productsto predetermined customers on specific routes, reviewing orders prior to delivery, loading and unloading trucks and providing exceptional customer service. This position is responsible forthe performance of all duties within the objectives, standards, mission, and policies of Doll Distributing LLC, State laws and regulations governing the beer industry, and brewery/supplier requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver product on a scheduled route and within appointed time parameters
  • Unload products from trailers, by hand or using hand carts, and place in designated customer areas
  • Rotate and stock coolers, shelves, and backroom stock at customer location
  • Operate handheld devices to generate invoices
  • Cross-check inventory dropped off with the order and obtain signatures from customer to verify delivery
  • Collect payment where required, reconcile route and turn in all funds collected daily
  • Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip responsibilities in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and the policies and procedures of Doll Distributing, LLC
  • Comply with all federal Department of Transportation regulations related to vehicle operations
  • Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including but not limited, to hand carts, pallets, load bars, personal protective equipment, electric pallet jacks, and lift gates
  • Adhere to all safety expectations and immediately advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions
  • Other duties as assigned

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Maintain sanitary conditions in tractor and trailer and assist with maintaining sanitary conditions in the warehouse
  • Build product displays at the customer location
  • Work efficiently and strive for growth within assigned territory
  • May be asked to work on evenings and weekends for special events

Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Driving record within MVR policy guidelines
  • Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information in English
  • Basic mathematical aptitude

Essential Skills and Knowledge:

  • Operate vehicle in a variety of traffic and weather conditions
  • Meet or exceed minimum productivity standards established by Doll Distributing, LLC
  • Effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision
  • Develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control procedures
  • Demonstrate strong communication, customer relations, and problem resolution skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel and Outlook and entry-level (or ability to learn) Mobility
  • Able to work with a diverse group of people and customers

Working Conditions:

Physical/Mental Organizational Capabilities

Lift, push, or move product that weighs 1-50 pounds, up to 165 pound kegs of beer - Frequently (Daily lifting of 20,000 to 40,000 or more pounds of product)

Reach up to 72" to stack and unstack pallets and hand carts - Frequently

Bend, stoop, squat and twist while loading and unloading product, stocking coolers and shelves, and rotating backroom stock at customer locations - Constantly

The individual in this role must possess the ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, and climb stairs - Frequently

Ability to safely lift a minimum of 24 lbs. without assistance, waist level, waist to shoulder level, shoulder level to overhead - Frequently.

Must have ability to push/pull up to 68lbs - Frequently

Ability to lift a maximum of 165 lbs. floor to waist with appropriate equipment - Frequently.

Handle (Grasp, turn, seize, hold) - constantly

Step up/down up to a 21 inch surface - Frequently.

Ability to pay attention to detail, problem solve, troubleshoot, and make decisions - Constantly.

Requires significant demands on these physical requirements through the entire work shift with tasks performed in all weather conditions.

Temperature/Climate:

This position will spend 90% (Constantly) of the shift in a climate-controlled environment and 10% (Occasionally) of the shift in an outdoor environment

May work outside in extreme weather conditions including but not limited to: ice and extreme heat

Safety Considerations

This position will drive a semi-tractor trailer which ranges from 36ft to 60ft

Personal Protective Equipment necessary

Steel-toed boots/shoes with skid-proof soles are required
