Job description

Columbus Distributing Company is a family-owned sales and service corporation proudly distributing Anheuser-Busch, Yuengling, craft, and imported beers throughout Franklin County, Ohio. We are currently seeking a Shop Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills, experience using repair equipment and testing instruments, and the ability to perform quality repairs on a variety of fleet equipment. This position requires the ability to lift heavy truck parts, work in and around commercial vehicles, and assist with general maintenance duties as needed. A CDL Class A license is preferred; however, candidates who currently hold a CDL permit are encouraged to apply.   • Be skilled in using equipment and test instruments.
  • Show technical knowledge and mechanical ability, including diagnostic skills.
  • Hold quality repair skills.
  • Lift heavy truck parts of 100 pounds overhead.
  • Climb up and down a step ladder or into a truck cab.
  • Perform and complete any duties of a lower classification.

  • Experience/schooling in gas and diesel engines, brakes, chassis, front ends, and transmissions.
  • Experience/schooling in Electrical wiring and motors.
  • Experience/schooling in Body repair and painting, welding of steel and aluminum.
  • Be able to work full-time.
  • *CDL A- Required* Temps Accepted.
