Job description

Buffalo Trace Distillery is an American family-owned company based in Frankfort, Franklin County, Kentucky. The Distillery's rich tradition dates back to 1773 and includes such legends as E.H. Taylor, Jr., George T. Stagg, Albert B. Blanton, Orville Schupp, and Elmer T. Lee.

Buffalo Trace Distillery has also garnered more than 300 awards for its wide range of premium whiskies. The distillery is part of the Sazerac family of companies.

About the Role

Buffalo Trace is the world’s most award-winning distillery — and the team that keeps it running is just as impressive. As our Processing Supervisor, you’ll own the shift: from bulk alcohol receiving to batching, blending, and filtration. You’re the link between raw ingredients and the bottle, and you take that seriously.

What You’ll Own

• Safety, every shift. You’ll enforce DOT/Hazmat, confined space, and TTB compliance — and actively build a culture where zero recordables is the expectation, not the goal.

• Production operations. Manual batching, automated blending, RO water systems, filtration — you decide how to deploy equipment, people, and tankage to keep Bottling on schedule.

• The numbers. You’ll track and drive key metrics: Juice Loss %, WGs/Labor $, OT utilization, and Department OHV.

• Your team. Coach, develop, and lead Processing employees with fairness and accountability. Conduct investigations, deliver safety kickoffs, and invest in people’s growth.

• Compliance. Maintain clean TTB records (122s, 137s, calibrations, system transactions) and support internal and external audits without missing a beat

What You Bring

Required:

• 3+ years of processing experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment

• Proven supervisory experience — you’ve led a team and it shows

• Strong analytical instincts and problem-solving skills

• Solid MS Office skills (Excel especially)

• General knowledge of processing and receiving operations

Preferred:

• Experience with ERP/MRP/WMS systems

• Alcohol beverage industry background

• Familiarity with beverage processing equipment

• Union environment experience

• Inventory control and budget process knowledge

*This is a 3rd shift role*
