About us

Company Distilling is a distillery and tasting room with locations in Townsend, TN and Thompsons Station, TN.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Take customer orders and prepare a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Verify identification and age requirements of customers.
  • Provide an exceptional customer service experience and education to every patron that walks through our doors.
  • Pour samples and educate customers about Company Distilling products in our Tasting Room, both for on-site and some off-site events.
  • Adhere to all State and Federal laws pertaining to the sampling and serving of alcoholic products.
  • Maintain accuracy in cash handling including customer transactions and opening/closing daily shifts in the Point of Sale system.
  • Keep the Tasting Room clean in accordance with set standards.
  • Answer the phone, assist with inventory counts, stock the Tasting Room with products and merchandise.
  • Monitor and inspect product for quality purposes.
  • Represent Company Distilling professionally at all times.
  • Must be available to attend off-site events as required.
  • Other special projects as assigned by the Tasting Room Manager.

Expectations:

  • Attention to detail and pride in work for both internal projects and those that serve our customers and clients.
  • Ensure all cocktails are consistently prepared according to approved recipe
  • The ability to problem-solve and use sound judgment and work without direct supervision.
  • Communicate Tasting Room needs to management, such as inventory levels or equipment malfunctions.
  • Willingness to be a part of a team and assume necessary duties as needed.
  • Attend company-wide and department staff meetings as indicated by the Tasting Room Manager.
  • Appropriate dress at all times in the Tasting Room and for special events.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

Previous experience in a craft cocktail role is required

Ability to use a computer and learn our Point of Sale system and other programs used by Company Distilling

Ability to represent Company Distilling in a professional manner, both in writing and in person.

Familiarity with different types of alcoholic cocktails and spirits

Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues

Basic math skills for accurately calculating bills and making change
