Job description

Snapshot / Role Overview

We're looking for a Controls System Programmer in the Portland area to design, program, and maintain building automation systems on commercial HVAC construction projects of two million dollars and up.

Impact

  • Deliver controls that make multi-site commercial buildings run efficiently.
  • Keep ground-up and retrofit projects on aggressive timelines with responsive troubleshooting.
  • Raise system reliability through clean programming and commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Program and commission BAS platforms including Tridium Niagara and Distech.
  • Develop control software from specifications and design documents.
  • Test and troubleshoot controls against the spec.
  • Design control solutions with project managers and engineers for new construction and retrofits.
  • Install and configure hardware and software on job sites.
  • Monitor performance and implement improvements.
  • Maintain accurate installation and service records.

Must-Haves

  • Hands-on programming experience on Tridium Niagara, Distech, or similar BAS platforms.
  • Commissioning and troubleshooting experience on commercial HVAC controls.
  • Ability to work from specifications and design documents.
