Job Description:

Work Schedule: Days, five 8's or four 10's. No call requirement.

  • Performs a wide range of Nuclear Medicine procedures, demonstrating proficiency in camera acquisition, computer processing, and adapting to new technology while ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging.
  • Prepares and administers radionuclides safely and accurately, utilizing aseptic technique, universal blood and body substance isolation (BSI) principles, and explaining procedures to patients.
  • Ensures equipment quality control and evaluates image quality, performing required QC procedures and verifying diagnostic and technical accuracy prior to image release.
  • Identifies patients and verifies exam appropriateness, reviewing physician orders and confirming patient/exam accuracy using approved identification guidelines.
  • Collaborates with radiologists and other healthcare providers to ensure appropriate imaging, timely reporting, and continuity of patient care.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
