The paralegal position manages and administers contracts to ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry standards. This role supports operations with contracting needs including reviewing, redlining, and negotiating upstream and downstream construction contracts, NDAs, vendor agreements, and credit applications, as well as requesting related insurance and bonds. The position may also involve dispute resolution and negotiation, as well as coordinating responses to subpoenas and other legal documents. The ideal candidate is a paralegal with a background in utility construction contracts.


  • Support operations with contracts and all items incident to contracts.
  • Review, redline, and negotiate customer construction contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, vendor agreements, and credit applications.
  • Ensure compliance with customer insurance and bonding requirements.
  • Evaluate and facilitate dispute resolution.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in contract administration and review, ideally within a construction, engineering, or project-based environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications: A Paralegal certificate is preferred
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience within the construction or engineering industry is highly desirable.
