Position Summary

The Supervisor, Operation is responsible for leading and overseeing the daily dispatch operations for the Pilot Team. This role ensures efficient routing, scheduling, communication, and execution of deliveries while maintaining high levels of customer service, safety, productivity, and compliance. The Supervisor, Operation works closely with drivers, warehouse personnel, customers, and leadership to ensure on-time service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities Dispatch Operations
  • Manage daily dispatch activities for all delivery routes and linehaul movements.

  • Coordinate driver assignments, route planning, and equipment utilization.

  • Monitor delivery progress and proactively address service disruptions.

  • Ensure timely communication of pickup and delivery schedules.

  • Optimize routes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize service levels.

  • Maintain accurate dispatch records and reporting.

Team Leadership
  • Supervise and support dispatch personnel and drivers.

  • Conduct daily huddles and operational meetings.

  • Coach employees on performance expectations and company procedures.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and customer focus.

  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, training, and performance management.

Customer Service
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for operational escalations.

  • Ensure customer commitments are met consistently.

Qualifications Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of transportation, dispatch, or logistics experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent communication and conflict-resolution abilities.

  • Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and dispatch software.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in an office and warehouse environment.

Pay Range

$75,000 - $85,000

*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
