Job Title: Area Manager – Parking ServicesDepartment: OperationsReports To: Operations Manager/General ManagerFLSA Status: ExemptWork Schedule: This role is required to work during normal business hours with occasional weekend or after-hours work as needed.Work Location: Onsite at assigned locationPosition Overview:The Area Manager is responsible for the overall accountability for training and supporting CSR representatives, including Administrators. This role ensures a high level of customer service is maintained and financial deadlines are met.Key Responsibilities:Include but are not limited to the following, as additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned:Customer Service: Provide a courteous and professional relationship with all customers, cities, subordinates, co-workers, and managers – "Treat others as you would want to be treated."Training: Properly train Leads and CSRs in customer service, operational procedures, time-card completion, and professionalism.Oversight & Quality: Conduct audits through audio advisory and reporting; take necessary action as needed.Operational Excellence: Ensure cleanliness, desk organization, and safety throughout the facility; monitor and act promptly.Financial Responsibility: Create and maintain strategies to maximize parking revenue while maintaining excellent customer service.Scheduling & Staffing: Onboard and schedule CSR staff; ensure Leads meet expectations.Clerical Duties: Perform data entry, assure task accuracy, and maintain organized files.Administrative Support: Assist in special projects; maintain training materials; serve as IT contact for resolution.Supervisory Responsibilities Directly supervise CSR representatives and Leads. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of team members. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. Duties include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, addressing complaints, resolving problems, and maintaining a cooperative working environment to maximize morale and effectiveness.Required Qualifications:One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence. Able to effectively communicate in one-on-one and small group settings.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions and handle basic problems in standardized situations.Basic computer literacy.Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
